David Duval draws on an extensive background in venture capital and financial operations to advise the Castile team on all aspects of fund and portfolio management.  Mr. Duval is currently the Founder and Principal of Riverview CFO, LLC serving the financial needs of businesses and private clients.  From 2002 to 2011, he was Castile’s COO, in which role he also oversaw fund formation and developed the firm’s financial infrastructure.   

Before joining Castile, Mr. Duval was a managing director of the Volpe Brown Whelan investment bank where he co-founded and managed Volpe Brown Whelan Asset Management, LLC and its highly-successful venture affiliate, Bedrock Capital Partners.  Previously, Mr. Duval was CFO/Partner of Highland Capital Partners.

Mr. Duval has also spent more than 15 years in financial and operations management culminating at MED-TAC Corporation where he was executive vice president with responsibility for more than $100 million in annual gross receipts and approximately 80 employees.

Mr. Duval holds a BS in Accounting from Bentley College and an MBA from Babson College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Executives Institute.
